Michael’s 25-plus years of experience in accounting, finance, and business operations provide clients with a more holistic understanding of their business. As a previous business owner going through the sale process, Michael has a unique and direct understanding of the sale process. His focus is working with clients on the value impact related to pre-sale planning, capital restructuring, estate and gift tax planning, buy/sell agreements, and so forth.

Michael was previously Chief Financial Officer for Daily Dose Hospitality Group; Managing Director – Business Valuation with LCG Advisors; and Manager, Global Forensics with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP, among other roles. He has worked in the healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and construction industries in various accounting and operations capacities. While at LCG and Baker Tilly, his responsibilities included business valuations for high-net-worth clients, business damages and commercial valuations, and forensic analysis, primarily in a litigation setting. Mr. Reed has experience as an expert witness and has written reports for state and federal courts.

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has credentials in Business Valuation (ABV) and Financial Forensics (CFF) from the AICPA. Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Michael holds an M.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University.

While Michael enjoys the beautiful Florida beaches and weather, you will find him either coaching his daughter or hiking or walking in the mountains across the U.S. In 2025, Michael took on the 29029 Everesting challenge, climbing all seven mountains that year and scaling over 210,000 vertical feet in the process, bringing the total to 10 events in the past three years. If there is any downtime, Michael enjoys collegiate football and basketball and supporting the local Tampa Bay teams.
